UnitedVisualArtists are a British-based collective whose current practice spans permanent architectural installation, live performance and responsive installation. Based in the UK, installations such as Speed Of Light celebrates the tenth anniversary of broadband in the UK. Stripped back to its essentials, optical fibre is a thin strand of glass, with nothing more than a flickering beam of light traveling along it. United Visual Artists have used this beam as the starting point for the work.
Two of their newest installations can now be seen in Toronto at the new Maple Leaf Square.

Years ago I was fortunate enough to be at the opening of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. I'll never forget the excitement of the crowded palazzo as they watched in amazement the fountain in front of the hotel. WET Design of California who designed the fountain has now outdone themselves in Dubai as well. Thousands of jets thunder below the surface shooting water hundreds of feet into the sky while dancing to music. Breathtaking.

Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney Australia is an incredible outdoor art exhibition on the walk between Bondi and Tamara Beaches. It takes place once a year and I was fortunate enough to be in Sydney during this time. I was amazed at the sheer beauty of the art surrounded by breathtaking landscape of Sydney's eastern beaches. This is a must see event for any traveler down under!
This is my Cityline appearance doing a walkthrough of our home after it appeared in the pages of Style At Home Magazine in March of 2010.
